So Paz and I volunteered (invited more like it from an insider) to compose a theme for a promotional clip for a major uprising brand in the region.
Since the brand had no sonic ID (brand jingle), we decided to approach that first. We composed the jingle, and adapted it to fit the specific execution we were working on. The end result was really cool! Fits the brand and the clip perfectly. We’ve also spiced it up with sound effects matching the execution.
However, despite the good reception it had in the potential client’s team (and ours), the decision maker was not mad about it really. It was rejected.
I’ve decided to share it here yet keep the details confidential
Keep in mind that a recipe for a successful jingle is: it has to be short, it has to be catchy, it has to be super simple. All three for the simple reason that it needs to be imprinted on the back of the listener’s head. Some also believe that it should be annoying – that also helps
Note this version does not have the sound effects mentioned above, plus the quality is toned down significantly for the obvios reasons.
